New Blog - Hello From Hawaii!
Hey!
It's my last day in beautiful Kona, Hawaii. I've been here for the last few days with my band and crew and their families. They've all worked so hard for the past two years without a real break.. So I took everybody to Hawaii. It's been the most AMAZING week and we all needed it. It's so crazy to remember what it is to relax and not have plans. To wake up and think "What am I doing today?.... Oh yeah.. NOTHING." haha. It's been incredible. But I'm ready to be back on the road. I miss arenas and crowds really bad, so I'm looking forward to being back out with Rascal Flatts. SO-- I got the incredible news today that Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman had a baby girl! Even just thinking about it now, I'm tearing up because I'm so happy for them. When my mom and I got the news, we just sat there in the hotel room and got so emotional. They're such incredible people. They've always been so wonderful to people. Nicole Kidman came to Nashville and treated everyone with grace and respect, and has always been so humble. I'm overjoyed for them. Also, I wanted to let you know about this limited edition release that's coming out at Wal Mart called Beautiful Eyes. This is NOT my new album that I've been working on all year. It's a two disc set, one CD and one DVD. The CD has two previously unreleased songs, Beautiful Eyes and I Heart ? ( I wrote those songs when I was 13) as well as alternate versions of Should've Said No, and an acoustic version of Teardrops On My Guitar. The DVD has of all of my videos, the ACM Performance of Should've Said No (in the rain!) and a video created for Beautiful Eyes with footage from my 18th Birthday Party. I'm only letting my record company make a small amount of these - the last thing I want any of you to think is that we are putting out too many releases. I'm not going to be doing a bunch of promotion for it, because I don't want there to be confusion about whether it's the second album or not. I've gotten so many emails from people asking for new songs, and I thought this might tie them over till the new album comes out in the fall. OK-- The Teen Choice Awards are getting closer and closer, and I'm so thankful that you guys got me that nomination for Breakout Artist. Thank you! I'd love it so much if you would go to the Teen Choice website and vote for the awards! Fan voted awards are the most important to me, and you guys have won some amazing awards for me in the past. I'd love it so much if you'd go rock the vote again. :-) :-) I'm about to pack and get on a plane and be home! Then back on the road (yesssss) and seeing your beautiful faces. See you soon!

I just watched the "Once Upon a Prom" show I did on MTV. It was so much fun living that night all over again. I noticed some things that I hadn't noticed while it was happening.. My prom date, Whit, was playing baseball and I noticed that his number is 13! That is my extremely weird and haunting lucky number. So that was a "woahhh" moment for me. Then I noticed that when he was trying desperately to get ready on time for prom, he said "This is going to be cutting it close, I've got 13 minutes to get home". WEIRD. WEIRD. I love that number and it follows me around and has always been a good thing. It's on again tonight at 6 eastern, so check it out! (Then vote. Please. I love you. Wink.)

New Blog - Summing up the week.
Hey,
This week was incredible. I spent it in New York City and got to spend every day of it in the MTV studios co-hosting TRL. I honestly never thought I'd ever get to say that. It's pretty surreal considering that I snuck into TRL to be a member of the studio audience when I was 14. Yeahhh... Two of my best friends and I somehow got into the TRL studios even though we were too young to be allowed in. It was during a trip to NYC, the summer after 8th grade. So it felt pretty awesome to be allowed in this time. Another thing that added to the excitement I felt just being at TRL was getting to interview and meet some awesome people I've looked up to for a really long time. It was really cool to get to meet Anne Hathaway. I loved her in Becoming Jane and The Devil Wears Prada. I've always looked up to her for how she carries herself with class. Getting to talk to her was so cool because she was real and down to earth. I also met Steve Carrell, who was hilarious and sweet. They were at TRL to promote their new movie "Get Smart"-- it looks really funny. And the HIGHLIGHT of my TRL experience was getting to talk to Rihanna. I love Rihanna. She's amazing and gorgeous and SO cool to talk to. A lot of the time, superstars have huge entourages around them and its really intimidating and weird. But Rihanna had one, maybe two people with her. It was so cool to see that. We talked backstage during commercial breaks and she was real and outgoing and funny. Yay. :-) It was pretty insane being at TRL and looking out the window and seeing all those people out there on the street holding up signs for me. Thank you for that. The rest of my time this week was spent at photo shoots. One of them was a cover (yesssss!) that you'll see later this year. I'm busy planning the 2nd album. I know exactly how I want the photos in the album to look, and we know the title. There's a lot we're not sure about yet, so I'm obsessed with planning and scheduling and making sure it all comes together. Breathe in. Breathe out. Blog. Inhale. Reminisce about dream week in New York. Exhale. Thanks guys.

New Blog - Tee Arr El
I'm sitting in my hotel room in New York City!! Today I was at MTV all day co-hosting TRL, and I'll be co-hosting all week. It's pretty sweet, I'm kinda loving it. I'm performing twice on the show on Wednesday! It's all leading up to the premiere of the special we shot at my prom called "Once Upon a Prom". I haven't even seen it yet, but I can't wait. It's on at 1pm on Saturday, and then again that night at 6:30. It's so crazy getting to co-host TRL. I'm getting more used to hosting, but my big problem is that I always forget the microphone different places. Eh. The way TRL works is you go out and talk and stuff twice each segment, then you go to commercial break. So there's a lot of time where you're waiting around backstage and preparing for your next live shot. And it seems like every time I'm about to go live on the air, I can't find my microphone. I always put it down somewhere and then can't remember where it is. Then when we're about to go live, there's a lot of scrambling and running and finding the mic in random places. It's the weirdest thing. Note to self for tomorrow's show: Remember where you put mic. Tape it in your hands if you have to. One of the guests today was Michelle Williams of Destiny's Child ( she's solo now though ). She was there promoting her new record. She's a total crack-up. So funny. She reminded me a little of Kellie Pickler in the sense that she was so blunt and entertaining. In her interview, she was adorable and had a lot of personality. And the cool thing was, backstage when I met her, she was the same person. I've got about fifty billion meetings this week, so at the end of the day, I'm always ridiculously tired and feeling like a train ran over me. New York is the busiest place I've ever been. A guy almost walked into the SUV we were in while we were driving. We were driving, he was walking, and he literally almost walked into the side of us. I screamed SO loud. From the look I got from the driver, I gathered that that sort of thing happens a lot here. I've always been fascinated with this city. I want to thank all the people who came to Nashville for CMA week. I had a blast hanging out with you guys all day at the Convention Center on Saturday. To those of you who waited in line for over ten hours, thank you so much. I'm glad we got to everybody. I have to get some sleep for TRL tomorrow. I'll check back in later. Love you, thank you for this life you've given me. :-D lovelovelove -T-

New Single News!
For anyone who was at the Ryman Auditorium at the right time last week, they got to hear Taylor sing her first single off of the new album, and they also got to watch her film part of the video! The single will be called Love Story! Thanks to Miranda from the forums for pointing it out, she found something someone who went to it wrote:
This will be the lead single from her brand new album that should be out in the fall. Taylor announced this when she shot part of the music video for it in front of a CMA Music Festival crowd of friends on Friday in front of the Ryman Auditorium in downtown Nashville, mentioning this was the first time any fans had ever heard the song. It was also the first time she had played it for anyone live. I was there and she played the song three times and it is a good tune.
I can't wait to hear this - it sounds amazing!

Nine Hour Autograph Session
Taylor Swift signed autographs for nine hours straight yesterday at the CMA Music Festival! She started signing autographs at 10 in the morning and didn't finish till about 5 in the afternoon. While she was signing autographs, workers for Big Machine Records and Taylor's mother, Andrea, walked around carrying Taylor memorbilia such as the sparkly guitar from the Our Song music video and Taylor's CMT Awards - so that fans could hold them and get their pictures taken with them. Taylor signed autographs without taking any breaks, with only bottles of water and a pack of Orbit gum.

New Blog - BACK!
I think my Myspace is FINALLY working perfectly again. I'm SO excited. So I'm completely back online and back on here nonstop. Thank you for being so patient with me while my site wasn't working right.
I'm at my house doing interviews all day via phone. So while I'm doing that, I'm going to be adding all kinds of new stuff to my page. I'm really excited about CMA Music Festival in Nashville next week. It's probably the most exciting time of year around here. Plus, I'm going to be signing all day next Saturday in the convention center. Stop by. Say hello. :-) It'll be so nice to see you all again (or meet you for the first time).
Alright, well I'm going to try to get everything back up to speed and working again.
Love you.

New Blog - Always wanted to do that... (acms)
What a night.
I can't even tell you how excited I am. Tonight was SO unbelievable, and I've never had more fun onstage. I've wanted to tell you guys all the little surprises we had planned for the performance for so long! I've dreampt about that performance since I was in middle school. I've always wanted to perform an angry song and have water rain down from the ceiling and have a little freakout onstage. Always wanted to do that. So a few months ago, when I was offered a performance on the ACMs, I had this epiphone: I need to do that rain idea on the ACMs this year!! So we met with the producer of the show in my tour bus and I got a black hoodie and acted out how I was dreaming up the performance. And the Academy of Country Music rules because: they made my dreams come true tonight. I'm about to post the video of it on my page, if you missed it. Oh, and the water was like 40 degrees. So cold.
Honestly I didn't expect to come away with an award, and I have you to thank for all of the things you've done to support me. You're the reason my album is 3x platinum. You're the reason the concerts sell out. You're the reason I'm able to be out here in Vegas. And you're the reason I'm taking home my first ACM Award for Top New Female Vocalist. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I got to pose with Kellie for some People shots after the awards. We posed like we were beating each other up in a huge catfight. Haha. (She was pulling my hair and I was tugging at her dress and trying to push her off me while we both made grimacing faces) It was pretty awesome. I hope they run those shots. hahah. I got to see Heidi Newfeild, who sings one of my FAVORITE songs out right now "Johnny and June". I have a total song crush on that song. Brilliantly written. She's so sweet too. It was such a joy sitting so close to George Strait and his wife Norma. Touring with him was an honor, and every time I get around him, I realize what composure and grace he carries himself with. Nicole Kidman is so incredibly gracious and friendly, and gets the "Most Beautiful in Person" award. Hands down.
I'll write more about the night, and all the things going on soon. I have to get to sleep now though! I'm flying home tomorrow. Can't wait to hear what you guys thought of the night! Love you so much.

New Blog - FREAKING OUT jklsfkdjfkdjvdf!!!!! {cmt awards}
AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
I CANNOT believe last night actually happened. CANNOT believe it. I am absolutely in awe of you and what you've done for me. The CMT Music Awards are COMPLETELY fan voted. And I have no idea how I was lucky enough to have a night like I had last night. It was you, and your votes and your loyalty. I didn't see it coming. You completely caught me off guard. I've never been so blown away. To win Female Video of the Year and VIDEO OF THE YEAR?? Are you serious?? I'm so blown away and I can't thank you enough.
Last night was amazing. I got to the arena the CMT's were held in at about 1pm, and stayed there ALL day.. At rehearsal run-throughs, I got to see Miley Cyrus again for the first time in a while. I love her. She did such an amazing job of hosting the CMT Awards, and just think.. she had a 103 degree fever THE DAY before. That blows me away. And what an incredible friend she's been to me.. I got to say a quick hi to Billy Ray, who's also a sweetheart. Her older sister, Brandi, was backstage and I talked to her for a while. They all looked amazing and have been so great to me.
I did a run-through of my performance with my band, and we have a new ritual that we do every single night on the Rascal Flatts tour before we go on.. We all tell each other "I love you" before we go on. We did that last night too. After the rehearsal, I went back to my dressing room and talked to the girls of Little Big Town while they were getting their hair and make up put on. They're amazing people. Then it was time to get ready for red carpet, and my stylist Sandi did my hair and I put on my dress.
The red carpet was really cool, less frantic than I remember from award shows. I don't know, it just seems like at every other award show, we've somehow gotten lost trying to find the limo.. or gotten lost on the way to the red carpet entrance.. Or had to run somewhere in heels. Last night was just really low key and cool. I got out of the limo and went and signed for the fans who were waiting out in the rain ( you guys blow me away ). Then I went on the red carpet and did all of the interviews. Fun, fun.
Then they took me to my seat at the awards, and at this point, my feet were KILLING me. It hurt SO bad. I was hobbling up the aisle to my seat. It was not ladylike. As I passed Faith Hill, I stopped and talked to her (LOVE her) and I said "My shoes are KILLING me" and she said "TAKE them off!!". So I did. And I went up to present the award for Breakthrough Video of the Year barefoot.
Speaking of Breakthrough Video of the Year, can I just say that I was CRYING like a proud mother when Kellie won?? She's got a heart of gold, and she's like my big sister. She's ALWAYS been there for me. I can't even explain how unbelievable it was to see her win her first award. We had no cell service in the arena, so as soon as the show was over and we left, Kellie was my first call. Can't wait to see her.
After I presented the award, I was seated again because I was nominated for Female Video of the Year. And just so you guys know, I was just thrilled that I got to perform last night. That was all I was expecting out of the award show, and I was REALLY excited about it! I will never forget the look on my mom's face when they called out my name as the winner of that award........ For the first time in my life, I was speechless. I had NO clue winning that was a possibility. I remember just looking out into the crowd and thinking "How am I this lucky.. How do I get to live this life.. ?"
The performance was a blast for my band and me, and they were all decked out in their "agency" gear. Ever since the Picture to Burn video, my band members refer to themselves as "The Agency". Haha.
At the end of the show, it was time to announce the winner of "Video of the Year", and they seated me again. But I'm like "Seriously? Come on, there's no chance I'm going to win this. But ok, I'll sit back down. ha". During a commercial break, these two little girls came up to me in the aisle and asked for my autograph. One of them started bawling her eyes out and saying "I can't believe I'm meeting you". It was the cutest thing ever. I gave her a big hug, and she was still crying. I said to her "Do you want to sit down next to me?" and my mom moved over a seat, and we squeezed these cute little girls in next to us for the announcement of the award. It was so cute, they were crossing their fingers for me the whole time. So if you were wondering who those little girls were next to me, there you go. :-)
And then I got the BIGGEST pleasant surprise of my LIFE. THANK YOU so much to everyone who voted!! I CAN'T explain to you how grateful I am. I've never seen Trey (my director) that excited, and she has worked so hard on my videos. I will NEVER forget what you guys have done for me. You know I love you. Last night was just over the top! I can't believe I'm this lucky. I never thought this stuff was going to happen to me. I just can't believe it. It hasn't sunk in. I hope it never does. You guys are the best thing that has ever happened to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

New Blog - RF::AI::LA
Hey! I’ve been in LA for the past two days having meetings with people and stuff like that. It’s so cool to get to feel the California weather this time of year. It’s BEAUTIFUL out here on the west coast. I get to wear my sundresses again. :-)
Ok, so this is the most random thing in the world, but a cool story. In a rare moment of down time the other day, my mom and I went shopping at the Beverly Center in LA. When you go in, there are like 6 different escalators that take you to different floors in the mall, and you can see them all from the bottom escalator. So we’re coming up the escalators, and out of the corner of my eye, I saw this girl standing at the top of one of the highest escalators. When we got up there, she was still standing there, and I realized it was Kristy Lee Cook from American Idol! She came up to me and introduced herself, and we stood there talking for like twenty minutes. She was so sweet and invited me to come watch American Idol the next night! Sure enough, my schedule ended up freeing up and I got to go. It was so cool watching it live. After the show, they took me up to a room where all of the contestants were. We all hung out and took pictures and it was so cool. They were all so fun and I loved the whole experience.
I got some good shopping done and got a bunch of new performance dresses to wear on tour. I got one that’s blue and is THE sparkliest dress I’ve ever seen in my life. I look like a walking disco ball in it. Nice. The Rascal Flatts tour is SO much fun. I’m loving it so much, and the guys are so cool. They’ll just walk onto my bus and say hi. It’s so cool that the guys from Rascal Flatts are so down to earth.
So it’s down to some of the last voting days for the CMT Music Awards, and I’d love it if you would vote. Preferably for videos featuring some blonde chick laying in a pile of flowers and painting her nails. Or that one with the girl in the high school who makes a total mess in the science lab and has all this glitter on her face. CMT.com. Pleeeease?
I love you. See you on the road!

New Blog - Today’s theme is: Rascal Flatts Tour TOMORROW.
HAPPY EASTER!!!
I’m in Calgary in my hotel room. Impatiently awaiting tomorrow. What is tomorrow, you ask? Tomorrow marks the first tour date we’ll be playing with Rascal Flatts! I love touring with them. I loved it two years ago when I lucked out and got to open for them for 9 shows acoustic. They were the first headliners to ask me to come out on a major tour. So it’s definitely cool to get to play a long set right before they go on. We’ve been in rehearsals all week, thinking of cool new stuff we can add to the show. I’ve had the same album out for a year and a half, so we try to spice the songs up differently for each tour. Can’t wait to see how it goes tomorrow.
THANK YOU for all of your help with the video for Picture to Burn!! Thank you for voting on Gactv.com and for voting for the CMT Music Awards. I appreciate it SO much. Cmt.com. The place to be. The CMT awards are coming up....... :-D
I’m really really really excited about the second album, you guys. I thought I would be stressing about it because everyone’s like "You have your whole life to write your first record, and one year to write your second blah blah blah" and I was feeling it for a few weeks (cough, cough.. months), wondering if we’d be able to beat the first record and which songs would be right for this next album..... Then we went into the studio. Everything changed. Everything is different now. Everything came together, and I am PINING AWAY for the release date this fall. I wrote most of the songs on this album by myself, although there is a prettttttty co-write with the pretttttty and amazingly flawless Colbie Caillat. I think I want to spell out codes in the lyrics again... Maybe they’ll all be names this time. Exact names of exact people who the songs were written about. Or maybe their initials or something like that. haha. On second thought... maybe not. ;-)
I’m completely going crazy thinking of ideas for the album photo shoots and the cd booklet and all of that stuff. I’m consumed and obsessed and SO excited that I get to make a second record. Hey, I’m still in awe of the fact that I got to make the first one.
So thank you for all of these things that make me so happy to be alive on Easter Sunday, 2008. Thank you for helping me and being there for me and listening to the songs I wrote about sophomore relationships. Hopefully you’ll like the ones I’ve written about senior ones too. :-D

New Blog - BLENDER <3
Hey guys! I'm really excited, I'm going to be on the cover of the issue of Blender magazine that's coming out March 11! Blender's a really edgy music magazine that almost NEVER has country artists on the cover. I think I'm the second one they've ever had on the cover! I'm really excited about it. The photo shoot was crazy, with really fun outfits and insane shoes. The interview was amazing, I hung out with Jody Rosen (the writer of the piece) all day in my hometown and we drove around and had a blast. I hope you all go out and get a copy when it comes out!! That would be amazing. This whole week was CRS week in Nashville. CRS stands for Country Radio Seminar. That's when all the country radio programmers and DJ's come to Nashville and get liners from artists ("Hi this is Taylor Swift and you're listening to...") and get to all mingle and see the people you haven't seen in forever. There are a bunch of showcases and concerts for new artists just going out to radio, and all the labels have parties. There's a really cool show that ends the week, and it's called New Faces. Earlier in the year, radio votes on their favorite new artists to play in this show. I got voted on to play it, and it was SO much fun. I had a blast. After the New Faces show, there was the Disco Party that's put on every year by Blair Garner with After Midnight. I'd never been. IT WAS SICK!!! Everyone dresses up in 70's attire and the artists sing 70's covers. The more you get into it, the better. Gloria Gaynor was there singing "I Will Survive". It was AWESOME. I sang "I Love Rock-n-Roll" in full costume with a brown wig and leather pants and a purple slasher guitar and everything. I'll put up the pictures in a minute. It was hilarious. THE CMT AWARDS ARE COMING UP!!! I'm so happy you guys voted my videos into 3 categories: Video of the Year, Female Video of the Year, and Supporting Character. THANK YOU!!!! I'll be performing on the show, and I can't wait. I'd love it if you'd vote on CMT.com. But you know that. Because I say it every two seconds. :-D I just saw the video for Picture to Burn and it's AWESOME. Lots of fire and my band in all black suits looking like CIA/Men in Black and me and Abigail sitting in my car spying on my ex boyfriend. Sounds like my typical Friday night. I'll let you know when it's premiering. Can't wait to hear what you think about it! The second album is coming along quite nicely. :-) lovelovelove -T-

New Blog!
New video, Ellen, and back from LA!
The Grammy's were a BLAST!!! I had so much fun, and I've never seen more famous people in my life. I have like a hundred new famous people to add to my list of favorite famous people. It was a really great week! I got to go to Clive Davis's legendary Grammy party. It was amazing.. I talked about it on Ellen, which I taped the day of the Grammy's. If you missed it, I posted the Youtube video on my profile. So I know some of you mayyyy be wondering why we're releasing a video for "I'm Only Me When I'm With You" when my new single is "Picture to Burn". Here's why: I looked at my schedule and saw how long it was going to be before we could fit in time to shoot the video for "Picture". We still don't shoot it until next week, and then there are weeks of production after that. So, I decided to put together some home movie clips to the music of one of my other songs so it wouldn't be FOREVER till we had another video out. Sorry if it's confusing! It's just another cool exclusive thing I wanted to do. I've always wanted to put out some sort of behind-the-scenes video, but I really like full-production music videos for my singles. So for the in-between-videos time, I put out this little video. I was the only editor or director for it, so I think it's the only video CMT has probably ever played that cost like $5.00 to make. Haha. I hope you like it! You can see it on CMT.com. It's got clips of Kellie, Abigail, and I attempting the Soulja Boy dance, me playing with a hermit crab, dancing randomly, me opening up my Horizon award when it arrived at my house, and some live footage. And oh so much more. If you're bored, vote for the CMT Awards. It's a wonderful hobby. :-) Thanks for everything, guys. I'm having the time of my life because of you!

Two New Blogs!
Dance Wars and photo shoots with rabbits.
I just finished playing on the show Dance War, and I'm out in LA in my hotel room. Today was so much fun! It's such a cool show, because it's singing AND dancing. All the contestants were so cool and were all at my dress rehearsal and sound check. At that point, I realized I actually know one of them! Elizabeth Huett is on Carrie Ann's team on Dance War, and she's been at a few of my shows! Whenever I'd talk to her in the meet and greet lines, she'd tell me about how bad she wanted to be a singer and ask for advice. It sounds strange, but there was always something different about her that stuck out in my mind. I'm SO proud of her and I hope she gets everything she's dreaming of, because she's a sweet heart! Carrie Ann and Bruno were so cool, I originally met them on The Tonight Show a few weeks ago. They were kind enough to invite me to play on their show, and I had a BLAST.
So, there's a 4-page spread and article in Entertainment Weekly magazine this week on me. It's got Juno on the cover, and the photo shoot is really funny. My favorite shot is the table of contents picture where I'm holding a white rabbit (yes, a live white rabbit) and looking up towards the sky like I'm about to be abducted by aliens. Sweeet. Maybe check it out, that would be cool.
I'm out in LA for a bunch of media stuff, and then the Grammy's! Wow, I can't believe I'm actually going to the Grammy's. I can't believe I'm actually nominated for one! This year has been a series of realizations that I'm the luckiest person on the planet and I want to thank you AGAIN for EVERYTHING you do for me. See you on the road!

Video of the Year, Female Video of the Year, Director of the Year (Trey is awesome, please vote for her), and Tyler Hilton is nominated for best supporting character!!! Show him some love! I'd love it if you'd vote for Kellie for Breakthrough Video, she really deserves it. The coolest thing about this award show is that it's FAN VOTED and you guys have all the control, so I'm calling in the back up. Rock the vote!

New Blog!
Keri Russell is the coolest celebrity ever.
So.. Ben (my banjo player), Grant (my guitar player), and I all got to meet Keri Russell the other night. We were playing at the same corporate party she was at. Ok, and I've always been obsessed with her because she rocks the curly hair, and was AMAZING in The Waitress and Felicity. When we met her, she was SO incredibly cool. We all went up to meet her, and she was like "HEY!! What's up?". She was really genuine, and funny. So before we went on the trip, Ben's wife had asked him jokingly if he would ask Keri how she does her hair, not thinking he'd actually get the chance to ask her. But sure enough, we're talking to her and Ben told her about his wife's question. This is why she's awesome: She gets out a piece of paper, and writes down EXACTLY what products she uses, what blow dryers she uses, and exactly what she does to make her hair straight or curly. It seems simple, but she had so many people who wanted to talk to her, and still she took the time to do that for Ben. I just think it's so awesome when cool people don't know they're cool. Love her!
We played a show in Nashville a few days ago, and it was so much fun to play again. I was literally jumping around the whole day like "Come on... I want to PLAY." And the show finally came, and it was awesome. After the show, I signed for four hours, and got to meet so many amazing people. It blows me away that everybody stands in line so long. It makes me so happy, you have no idea.
Hey, got some amazing news this morning. Our Song is number 1 again for the SIXTH WEEK!!! I can't BELIEVE this. I never dreamed this song would go all the way to the top of the charts. Can't believe I get to have my first number one party!!!
We're getting ready to shoot the video for the next single... And it may involve burning pictures.
Well, I'm off the pack. I'm flying out to LA in a few hours. I'm playing on Leno and Ellen this week so watch TV!! I'll be seeing you guys at shows on the west coast this week.
And by the way, we'll be seeing everyone this year on tour..
Because we'll be out on tour with RASCAL FLATTS!! :-D

New Blog Entry
Happy New Year! (almost)
Hello!
It's New Years Eve! I'm pretty excited about tonight, not gonna lie. It's not because of any awesome parties I'm going to or anything like that.. It's because for the first time, I'll be performing on Dick Clark's Rockin' New Years Eve!!!! It'll be on ABC tonight ( I think it starts around 9 ish?) so just keep your tv on and watch for it. Please. :-)
As you can see, I put up 3 new slideshows of pictures from my birthday party on the 13th. What an amazing night! I got balloons from REBA, and this amazing Judith Leiber clutch from John Rich, a beautiful pink Christmas tree for my room from Tim and Faith, and a HUGE jacked up PINK truck from my record label. I'm very happy to say that I've decided to give my pink truck to Victory Junction Gang, a camp for really sick kids. That thought just makes me smile. For a few weeks, it's being kept at the Country Music Hall of Fame here in Nashville, in case you want to go check it out. The party was a BLAST, and I hope you like the pictures.
Christmas was amazing.. My family decided to fry the turkey this year. It sounded like a pretty cool idea, I give them credit for originality. We had the little rig set up in the back yard with the big pot to fry the turkey in and the 50 barrels of oil.. But when it came time to take the turkey out of the fryer, it was like... melted. I don't want to go into extreme detail, but it was all falling apart and slimy.........Ew. So needless to say, we had a vegetarian Christmas dinner this year.
Our Song is number one AGAIN this week, so it's now been 4 weeks! I hope you all have a great night tonight, thank you for the best 2007 I could ever have asked for. I couldn't have IMAGINED this! Love youuuu.

New Blog Update
Taylor posted a new blog telling us all about her exciting birthday party!
Hey!!
I got the best birthday present EVER.. Our Song is now in its SECOND week of being the NUMBER ONE song!!!! This is my first number one ever, and it couldn't have come at a cooler time! Yessssss. I had an amazing time at my party. I wore a hot pink dress. Pictures soon! The party was a blast.. My favorite thing about it was this photo booth. All of us were taking pictures in there the whole night. We had tarot card readers and palm readers and all kinds of fun stuff to do. I've never really had a big birthday party before, so it was amazing to get that chance! My record label surprised me with this HUGE pink truck!! They're so sweet to me, and I've always wanted a truck. I want to thank you guys SO much for all of the birthday messages and comments!!!!! I love them so much. Between a Grammy nomination, a number one song, and all of your kind words, I had the best birthday EVER. Now I'm home for the holidays and am still trying to do my last minute shopping. I'm like an expert on talking myself out of buying something. SO I take forever to shop for Christmas presents. ha. Thank you SO much for calling radio stations and getting them to play my song. I wouldn't have a number one without you. I know that, and I love you SO much! Have an amazing Christmas.

Fairytale Year
Taylor Swift has enjoyed a great run since her debut disc came out a year ago. And one day after a deluxe edition of the CD came out, Swift won the Country music Association Horizon Award for new or developing artists.
"This was a like a fairytale to me," Swift said after the show. "I didn't know I could be this happy. I didn't think I would ever experience a night so magical in my life. There are so many people behind the scenes that have helped to make this possible for me, from my band and crew and bus drivers who have sacrificed time with their families this year so that I could live my dream, to every single person at my record label and booking agency, just everybody really, and I just can't thank them enough!"
Last month, Swift's songwriting peers at the Nashville Songwriters Association International honored her with their Songwriter / Artist of the Year Award, making her the youngest artist ever to win the award.
She also secured her place in the history books as the first female solo artist in country music history to write or co-write all of the songs on a platinum-selling debut CD. Also this week Swift was honored with a BMI songwriter achievement award for her debut single "Tim McGraw," one of three hits from the album.

Hey!!!
So I was sitting in my hotel room this morning, feeding my Starbucks addiction, when suddenly my manager bursts through the door.. Actually he knocked, because he'd have to have a key card to "burst" through the door literally.. But there was excitement in his entry to the room, definitely. Why, you ask? Because he was about to tell me that he'd just been informed that I'm pretty much nominated for an AMERICAN MUSIC AWARD AHHHH!! And the EVEN cooler part about that is this... The American Music Awards are FAN VOTED. This is where you come in, please, please, please. I've never felt more honored than when I won the CMT Award this year, because it was fan voted. You guys have everything to do with who wins. So I'm officially asking (or politely begging) you to go to ama.abc.com (that's AMA.ABC.COM) and sign up and vote for your favorite female country artist (pllleeeeease let that be me). Haha.
